I am about to return 20 brand new lenovo laptops, because Lenovo support has gone to hell. I know I can't be the only person with this problem. 1-Windows 10 Pro 64bit. 1-Lenovo P50 (also same issue on Yoga and T460s) I can get the unit to boot up using the fingerprint reader when it is a local account. Fprint worked perfectly on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon under Ubuntu 14.04. I strictly followed the instructions: sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:fingerprint/fprint sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install libfprint0 fprint-demo libpam-fprintd and finally saved my fingerprint with fprintd-enroll. Many users of Lenovo complained that the fingerprint readers of their Lenovo notebooks do not work after Windows 10 April 2018 Update 1803. I know that I have the correct drivers installed as they are the ones that came with my computer's setup files.Something else may be preventing my reader from working. Please clarify Code 31.This question isn't answered unless all instances of this problem are put to rest.
