I like how you've focused on white rather than black. It makes it stand out from the crowd and coupled with the clean lines it's an altogether smoother look. I can't post a 'real' critique but here's some thoughts.The curve is arguably too angled just below the alliance logo - having it with a smoother slope might take up more space along the image but then you could experiment with offsetting the logo and aligning it to the right hand side of the image - central logos always seem a bit too obvious to me.If you were to revisit you could also consider playing with the direction of your stripes as well - rather than a largely horizontal one you could mix it up a bit. You obviously don't want to lose the crispness (nor the homage to the ship decals themselves) but the balance between clean and simple is worth thinking about.You could also look into a subtle pattern or texture on the background but again, be careful with losing the 'shine'.I like it though.
Again, the best decision you made was having the main colour as white which means it easily stands out amongst the ME wallpapers I've seen of late.
